Artist's Description
I took this photo on a car (I wasn't driving, of course) in February, 2016. My husband and I took this road between Seattle and Bellingham often while our daughter was a student at Western Washington University.
About Kazumi Whitemoon
I was born and raised in Japan. I don't know if it's clear but I hope the unique sensibility that was nurtured there shows in my creations. My favorite medium is acrylic on canvas, and my subjects come from my surroundings, including still lifes, landscapes, and pets. I live with my husband in Seattle.

Desolation didn't come to my mind when I was taking this photo but whatever works for you. Thanks for the comment!

A bit of Americana captured in a fleeting moment. The white house against the stark background really gives this piece a feeling of desolation Kazumi!
